About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead growth for Construction Industries managed accounts across North America
- Strengthen long-term customer partnerships
- Drive profitable revenue growth
- Deliver integrated, customer-centric solutions across segments
- Lead a team of 10–15 experienced Account Managers across the U.S. and Canada
- Identify customer needs, business challenges, and growth opportunities
- Develop holistic enterprise solutions delivering measurable value
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with customers, dealers, and Caterpillar stakeholders
- Partner with dealers and internal teams to expand market opportunities and strengthen account plans
- Make customer-focused decisions balancing responsiveness, risk, and business priorities
- Advance commercial strategy and empower cross-functional decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 20+ years of commercial experience, including customer-facing roles, sales growth accountability, and formal leadership responsibilities
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, Caterpillar products, and the North American market
- Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to connect commercial strategy to business outcomes
- Value selling skills
- Strategic thinking and decision-making skills
- Negotiating and influencing skills
- Collaboration skills
- Effective communication skills
- Must work onsite five days per week
- Travel: 50%, mostly domestic
- Visa sponsorship is not available
- Successful completion of a drug screen required
