About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver Dynamics 365 F&O implementations, upgrades, integrations, and customizations
  • Own and drive X++ development, customizations, and extensions
  • Develop using X++, Visual Studio, and the D365 Extension framework
  • Ensure Microsoft D365 standards, extensibility, and upgrade-safe customizations
  • Review and optimize code for performance, scalability, and compliance
  • Design and implement third-party integrations using OData, REST/SOAP APIs, AIF/DMF, Azure services, Dual Write, and Microsoft Fabric
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and project teams on integration solutions
  • Support data migration strategies and execution using DMF/Data Management Framework
  • Configure security roles, privileges, workflows, batch jobs, and performance tuning
  • Review technical designs, code, and deployment strategies
  • Develop reusable templates, frameworks, and accelerators
  • Drive automation using Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and AI-driven workflows
  • Prepare TDDs based on FDDs and business requirements
  • Build Python scripts to automate testing
  • Manage DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, builds, releases, deployments, version control, and branching across environments
  • Provide technical guidance to peers and junior developers
  • Participate in workshops, demos, and stakeholder discussions
  • Stay current with Microsoft technologies, Azure services, and industry trends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong expertise in X++ development, D365 F&O technical architecture, and integration strategies
  • Deep hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 F&O modules: Finance, Supply Chain, and Project Operations
  • Expert-level knowledge of X++ development, SSRS reporting, and D365 F&O layered architecture
  • Strong understanding of customization, configuration, and upgrade-safe extensions
  • Skilled in performance tuning, workflows, batch jobs, and security role configuration
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio, D365 Extension framework, and developer workbench tools
  • Skilled in OData, REST/SOAP APIs, AIF/DMF, Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Data Factory
  • Experience with Common Data Services/Dual Write and Dynamics 365 Sales, Field Service, and Project Operations
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio, DMF tools, and ETL techniques
  • Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and AI-driven workflows
  • Expertise in Azure DevOps, Git, pipelines, CI/CD, release management, and test plans
  • Skilled in GitHub, version control, environment management, and branching strategies
  • Experience managing Dev/UAT/Prod build, release, and deployment activities
  • Familiarity with Lifecycle Services and Power Platform Admin Center
  • Strong SQL Server, indexing, query optimization, and large transactional dataset knowledge
  • Experience building automated test scripts using Python or other frameworks
  • Skilled in custom API design, authentication/authorization, and secure data exchange
  • Experience profiling system performance, tuning batch jobs, and optimizing production workloads
  • Ability to assess cumulative updates, apply hotfixes, and validate customization compatibility
  • Experience conducting peer reviews and enforcing coding standards
  • Ability to prepare TDDs, integration specifications, and reusable developer guides
  • Extensive experience with modern testing frameworks; preferred exposure to Leapwork, Azure App Testing, and Playwright, with proficiency in JMeter, Ranorex, Selenium, or equivalent accepted
  • 8–10+ years of demonstrated work experience in ERP technologies
  • 6+ years in Dynamics 365 F&O/AX technical development
  • Proven experience as a Technical Developer in at least 5 full-cycle D365 F&O implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and manage technical delivery
  • MB-500 certification preferred
  • Experience with Power Pages or AI-powered Copilot Studio
