About the role
- Drive operational efficiency by designing and implementing automation workflows that reduce manual work by 80%+.
- Ensure reliable execution of enterprise workflows through robust error handling, monitoring, and recovery strategies.
- Enable seamless integration between SaaS applications, databases, and internal systems to support business objectives.
- Contribute to team knowledge by documenting workflows and training business users on automation best practices.
- Influence technology adoption and process improvement, accelerating organizational productivity.
- Build and maintain complex workflows using n8n visual builder, leveraging 400+ integrations.
- Develop lightweight custom nodes and JavaScript/TypeScript functions as needed.
- Analyze existing processes and design automation strategies to improve efficiency.
- Implement robust error handling, retry logic, and fallback mechanisms.
- Test workflows thoroughly, including edge cases and failure scenarios.
- Deploy, configure, and manage n8n instances across development, staging, and production environments.
- Monitor workflow performance and optimize for speed, reliability, and resource usage.
- Apply best practices for security, credential management, and access controls.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and version control strategies for automation workflows.
- Connect systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and custom authentication methods.
- Transform, validate, and enrich data between systems using JavaScript.
- Create workflows interacting with SQL/NoSQL databases for synchronization and reporting.
- Document workflow logic, dependencies, and maintenance procedures.
- Educate business users on automation tools and self-service best practices.
- Provide tier 2/3 support for complex workflow issues.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with n8n or equivalent workflow automation tools.
- Strong proficiency with REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, and API-based integrations.
- Hands-on JavaScript/TypeScript development skills (ES6+, async/await, array/object manipulation).
- Experience with database operations (SQL/NoSQL) and data transformation/validation.
- Knowledge of Git version control, Docker, and basic Linux administration.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with strong ownership mindset.
- Experience with Zapier, Make (Integromat), or Power Automate. (Preferred)
- BPM/BPMN process mapping knowledge. (Preferred)
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP). (Preferred)
- ITSM experience (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management). (Preferred)
- Familiarity with regulated industries (finance, healthcare). (Preferred)
- Agile methodology experience (Scrum or Kanban). (Preferred)
