About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a senior leader responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and continuous advancement of Catalyst Pharmaceuticals’ patient support and functions.
- Oversee the Patient Services team, lead the development of innovative and compliant patient support programs, and direct payer and access strategies that ensure patients can start and stay on therapy.
- Collaborate across the enterprise to elevate patient experience, optimize access pathways, and reinforce Catalyst’s mission to improve patient lives.
- Lead and develop a team of patient service professionals and balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution to enable commercial success and organizational scalability.
- Responsible for leading key relationships with vendors in Specialty Distribution, Specialty Pharmacy, and HUB services.
- Shape and execute a comprehensive patient strategy across the product lifecycle, from launch through loss of exclusivity.
- Ensure operational excellence in patient support programs, leveraging analytics, market insights, and patient feedback to drive innovation and optimization.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees are strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10–12 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare or the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise in patient services
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing enterprise-level patient support and payer access strategies in rare disease or specialty markets
- Proven track record of executive-level vendor oversight and external partner management
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance standards, payer dynamics, and specialty distribution channels
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to engage C-suite leaders, external partners, and diverse stakeholders
- Strong strategic, analytical, and operational acumen, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
- Domestic travel of approximately 50% is required
