About the role
- Lead new business growth across the State & Local Government (SLED) market, specifically payment processing
- Own a personal sales quota while directly managing, developing, and scaling a team of 5-6 high-performing individual contributors
- Close new business that meets ARR target
- Develop & execute sales plan to grow share of market
- Continually prospect to add new viable accounts
- Foster trusted relationships with prospective government employees
- Coordinate complex sales
- Consultative, client-centric, solution-oriented sales (MEDDICC)
- Create delighted & referenceable clients
- Deliver client proposals, RFP responses, & demos
- Maintain opportunity pipeline at 5x ARR quota
- Maintain sound eCRM hygiene & deliver accurate quarterly forecasts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proven track record of identifying & closing new business
- Ability to build personal relationships with government prospects and clients
- 5+ years of experience in government and/or payments market
- Ability to work remotely & travel up to 50%
