About the role
- Manage day‑to‑day administration of compensation programs and provide guidance to HR and business leaders
- Support competitive offer development through market research, internal equity analysis, and compensation modeling
- Maintain compensation structures, job codes, policies, and tools; coordinate updates to job descriptions
- Lead the annual compensation cycle, including merit, short‑term incentives, and salary budget planning
- Partner with HRIS/Payroll to ensure accurate system updates for salary changes and incentive plan participation
- Stay current on federal, state, and local compensation regulations and support compliance efforts
- Support day-to-day administration of health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs
- Conduct benefits reporting and analysis to ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and other regulatory requirements (e.g., 5500s, SPDs, SARs)
- Assist with open enrollment planning, communication, and execution
- Respond to employee inquiries and escalate complex issues when needed
- Participate in benefits audits and drive process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Five or more years of progressive experience administering compensation and benefits
- Strong understanding of FLSA and compensation principles
- Thorough working knowledge of employee benefits policies and practices, and applicable federal and state regulations including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and DOL
- Strong skills in the Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal effectiveness with the ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of an organization
- Excellent analytical and project management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive material
- Attention to detail, with demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in final work products
