About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodeSuite to streamline application delivery.
  • Manage containerized applications using Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) or ECS (Fargate/EC2) in production environments.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Enforce cloud security best practices including IAM least privilege, VPC security groups, encryption (KMS), and assist in compliance audits (SOC2, ISO).
  • Optimize AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3) for high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency through right-sizing and purchasing strategies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Administration with at least 4 years specifically focused on AWS.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in core AWS compute services including EC2, Lambda, and ECS/EKS.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in AWS networking services including VPC, Subnets, Route53, and Application/Network Load Balancers (ALB/NLB).
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in AWS storage and database services including S3, EBS, EFS, RDS (Aurora/PostgreSQL), and DynamoDB.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in AWS security and governance services including IAM, KMS, WAF, and Shield.
  • Exhibit expert proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (preferred) or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Exhibit strong coding and scripting abilities in Python or Bash for automation tasks.
  • Possess extensive hands-on experience with Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Have hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
