About the role

  • Design, and document scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions using Cisco technologies to meet business objectives
  • Plan and execute complex network implementations, including data center, WAN, LAN, and wireless deployments
  • Lead network migration projects with minimal downtime, including hardware/software upgrades and topology changes
  • Provide Tier 3/4 escalation support for complex network issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent solutions
  • Proactively monitor network performance and health, utilizing tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Cisco DNA Center
  • Manage and maintain all network hardware and systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers
  • Configure and manage security appliances, including Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls and ISE for network access control
  • Implement and maintain VPN solutions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-level Cisco networks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Certifications: CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Data Center required; CCIE highly preferred
  • Expert-level knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches, ASR/ISR routers, and wireless (Meraki, Aironet) platforms
  • In-depth understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VRF, VPC)
  • Proven experience with network security: Cisco ASA/Firepower, Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Solid experience with data center technologies: VXLAN, ACI, and Cisco UCS
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, Wireshark)
