About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for technical review of waste characterization profile information and confirming accuracy of analytical data
- Determine if waste is acceptable at disposal facility based on regulations, facility permits and management method
- Protect disposal facilities' environmental integrity and ensure compliance with regulations
- Develop guidelines for specific waste streams as needed to improve process
- Review and issue all waste approvals according to best practices and policies
- Participate in training and opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and its services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other related degree
- 1-4 years of work experience in solid waste or related environmental industry
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel among company regional offices in the Northeast
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, listening, communication and problem-solving skills
