About the role
- Lead and manage a team of developers, ensuring a collaborative and productive environment.
- Oversee the technical and professional development of team members, providing mentorship and continuous feedback.
- Proactively build team engagement, including conducting 1:1 meetings and individual development plans (IDPs).
- Monitor deadlines, mitigate risks, and ensure predictability and quality of deliveries in partnership with technical leadership.
- Track efficiency, productivity, and quality metrics for the team, proposing continuous improvements in collaboration with technical leadership.
- Support recruitment and selection of new developers, ensuring the formation of a highly skilled team.
- Address technical and organizational impediments that may affect team performance.
- Contribute to code review processes in close partnership with technical leads, ensuring the application of development standards and best practices.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team, encouraging best practices and technical growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Proven experience leading software development teams.
- Strong knowledge of software development, system architecture, and application modeling.
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies.
- Ability to make technical decisions aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Knowledge of quality, security, efficiency, and productivity metrics for development teams.
- Experience defining and implementing efficient software development processes.
- Analytical ability to correlate technical and business metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ability to coordinate solutions across different teams, ensuring technical alignment and efficient integration.
