About the role
- Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts and reporting packs, driving continuous improvement and automation of reporting processes.
- Oversee statutory and regulatory reporting including annual consolidated and entity financial statements, statutory returns and investor reporting requirements.
- Manage external audit engagements end-to-end, acting as key liaison with auditors and coordinating interim, ad hoc and annual audit processes.
- Own and enhance key financial processes (e.g. breakage, R&D, postpaid collections, insurance entity reporting), ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with business strategy.
- Continuously review, improve and develop finance processes and procedures to support evolving business needs.
- Lead and develop the Financial Reporting team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching and fostering a high-performance, values-driven culture.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with 3+ years’ relevant industry experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven people leader with experience managing and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Strong technical accounting capability, including assessing and implementing new accounting standards within internal policy and process frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Strategic mindset with sound judgement, able to support decision-making, plan for future team needs and delegate effectively.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills, with the flexibility and drive to adapt in a high-growth, evolving business environment (experience in a software or tech-led company advantageous).
