About the role
- Define the vision, strategy and roadmap for fraud prevention products, aligning them with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor trends in digital and in-person fraud, anticipating emerging threats and adapting products quickly.
- Lead the lifecycle of anti-fraud products from inception to delivery, focusing on detection, prevention and response.
- Conduct discovery processes and hypothesis validation with internal stakeholders (risk, technology, legal, compliance, security, operations, finance) and external stakeholders (customers, partners, vendors).
- Define and track product KPIs such as fraud detection rate, false positives and response time.
- Use risk and behavioral analytics to make data-driven decisions.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams (IT, data) and business areas (risk, operations, customer service, finance, pricing, marketing, business development).
- Understand the customer journey and propose continuous improvements to the experience.
- Work with incident response and support teams to adjust products based on learnings.
Requirements
- Previous experience developing and managing products focused on fraud prevention.
- Strong knowledge of financial fraud, authentication methods and protective technologies.
- Excellent analytical skills, with strong command of product metrics and risk indicators.
- Customer-centric mindset, able to balance protection with a smooth user journey.
- Excellent communication, influence and negotiation skills with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Agility to operate in dynamic, high-complexity and high-pressure environments.
- Experience leading teams and guiding multidisciplinary squads.
- Experience managing the full product lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with anti-fraud tools (e.g., risk engines, orchestration, biometrics) is a plus.
- Knowledge of machine learning applied to fraud detection is a plus.
- Familiarity with strong authentication (e.g., FIDO, MFA) and digital security technologies is a plus.
- Previous experience in fraud-sensitive sectors — banking, fintechs, acquirers, e-commerce, security — is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of regulations such as LGPD, PCI DSS and Open Finance is a plus.
- Proven track record launching or evolving innovative products in fraud prevention is a plus.
- Certifications such as CFE, CISM, CISSP, PMI-ACP, CSPO or similar are a plus.
