About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review specifications and control schematics
Solicit pricing from subcontractors and equipment suppliers and follow up to obtain written quotes
Create detailed scope letters and proposals
Provide clear documentation on estimates and proposals
Provide accurate estimates and proposals
Partner with operations and engineering teams to provide solutions and pricing
Assist with contractor selection
Qualify opportunities and assist in developing bid strategy
Aid in pricing services for customers as an Estimator Specialist/Inside Sales member on the Global Strategic Accounts Team

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of Sales, Building Automation, HVAC, and/or Controls experience
Valid Driver’s License
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, or related discipline
Ability to value engineer control designs with alternative solutions
Experience providing takeoffs of control schematics using software such as Bluebeam
Experience with sales tools and software, including CRM and estimating software such as Bid Tracer
Experience in the Data Center Market
Ability to solve moderate to challenging financial and accounting-related issues
Strong written and oral communication, analysis, organization, and time management skills
Ability to build strong relationships with customers and coworkers
Self-motivated with passion for continuous improvement
Capability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment
Knowledge of presenting ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers
