About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and manage system and subsystem requirements in accordance with INCOSE systems engineering principles
  • Develop and maintain functional and interface specifications for control systems, sensors, and communication interfaces
  • Define and document system modes, states, and control logic for various operating scenarios
  • Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and verifiable through structured review and validation processes
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and test teams to ensure alignment and integration of design intent
  • Drive requirement traceability, issue tracking, and change management using JIRA and Confluence
  • Support system integration and validation through functional testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Contribute to EOL testing, commissioning, and diagnostic strategies for production and field support
  • Participate in design and technical reviews to ensure compliance with product and system requirements
  • Support continuous improvement of systems engineering methods, templates, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
  • 10–15 years of experience in Systems Engineering / MBSE (HVAC, automotive/Rail/Aero, or energy systems preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering, lifecycle, functional decomposition, and interface management
  • Experience in authoring and maintaining system-level requirements and specifications
  • Good understanding of embedded control systems, communication protocols (CAN, RS-485, BLE, Ethernet, Wi-Fi), and cloud-connected features
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience with engineering tools for requirement and documentation management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional and global teams
