About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and manage system and subsystem requirements in accordance with INCOSE systems engineering principles
- Develop and maintain functional and interface specifications for control systems, sensors, and communication interfaces
- Define and document system modes, states, and control logic for various operating scenarios
- Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and verifiable through structured review and validation processes
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and test teams to ensure alignment and integration of design intent
- Drive requirement traceability, issue tracking, and change management using JIRA and Confluence
- Support system integration and validation through functional testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Contribute to EOL testing, commissioning, and diagnostic strategies for production and field support
- Participate in design and technical reviews to ensure compliance with product and system requirements
- Support continuous improvement of systems engineering methods, templates, and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
- 10–15 years of experience in Systems Engineering / MBSE (HVAC, automotive/Rail/Aero, or energy systems preferred)
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering, lifecycle, functional decomposition, and interface management
- Experience in authoring and maintaining system-level requirements and specifications
- Good understanding of embedded control systems, communication protocols (CAN, RS-485, BLE, Ethernet, Wi-Fi), and cloud-connected features
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Hands-on experience with engineering tools for requirement and documentation management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional and global teams
