About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support day-to-day tax compliance activities for global assignees.
- Coordinate preparation and filing of expatriate income tax returns through external tax vendors.
- Track advance tax payments, tax return filings, and tax year closures.
- Partner with Payroll and Finance teams on tax withholding, shadow payroll, and all applicable forms for the different countries.
- Coordinate with external advisors to support tax equalization processes and assist with reconciliations.
- Partner with external advisors to support employee tax briefings for inbound and outbound assignments.
- Respond to routine employee tax queries and escalate complex issues as required.
- Review tax vendor deliverables for accuracy and adherence to SLAs.
- Maintain compliance trackers, reports, and audit-ready documentation.
- Support process standardization, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA / CPA or tax qualification preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in expatriate tax, global mobility tax, or individual international tax
- Experience in global inbound and outbound tax compliance
- GCC, Payroll, shared services, or Big-4 experience preferred
- Working knowledge of global individual income tax for expatriates
- Basic understanding of bilateral tax treaties and tax residency rules
- Strong attention to detail and process orientation
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
