About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform accounting for ALCS within the Carrier organization
  • Support the month end closing & reporting processes to ensure accuracy of financial reporting
  • Complete timely account reconciliations and ensure their quality complies with Carrier standards
  • Provide accounting support to finance and field operation teams
  • Maintain accounting standard work documentation of system processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge continuity
  • Prepare financial data for corporate reporting
  • Maintain a strong internal controls environment
  • Participate in finance and digital (DT) projects, offering support for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Special ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics
  • 4+ years’ experience in Financial Accounting
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of accounting principles and internal control procedures
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with percentage of completion accounting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively to management
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Attention to detail and timeliness; ability to deliver a quality work product on time
  • Strong initiative, drive, motivation, curiosity
  • Adaptable/Self starter
  • Experience with tools that automate processes and support accounting and reporting functions
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to solve business process issues
