About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain accurate item records and planning parameters contributing to long-term supply chain objectives
  • Coordinate with procurement, operations, and planning teams to prevent stockouts and maintain ideal inventory levels
  • Develop and implement stocking strategies to guarantee timely availability of materials for customer demand
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce excess inventory
  • Analyze material usage trends and forecast future material requirements through several sites
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material flow between warehouse sites
  • Prepare and present regular reports on material status, inventory levels and supply chain performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree
  • 3 + years of experience in material planning and purchasing
  • 1+ year of data analysis (Microsoft Excel, PowerBI)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or business administration (preferred)
  • Master's degree in supply chain management (preferred)
  • Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar (preferred)
  • Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE (preferred)
  • Experience in material planning, purchasing or inventory management in a manufacturing, warehouse or distribution environment (preferred)
  • Experience with international sourcing and procurement (preferred)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
