About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The objective of the Lead Procurement (Service) position is to serve as a central function to ensure service efficiency, cost optimization and delivery capability.
- Develop and implement procurement and logistics processes
- Standardize ordering and approval procedures
- Create and enforce work instructions (ISO, compliance)
- Provide technical leadership within the service organization
- Operational procurement
- Manage the entire procure-to-pay process
- Ensure timely material availability
- Maintain close coordination with Service Sales and Service Operations
- Supplier management
- Select and develop national and international suppliers
- Negotiate prices, lead times and availability
- Build strategic partnerships
- Performance and cost management
- Monitor delivery performance, quality and costs
- Identify optimization potential
- Warehouse and inventory management
- Control and optimize stock levels
- Analyze key metrics (turnover, availability)
- Ensure demand-driven stocking
- Planning and forecasting
- Conduct demand analyses
- Prepare forecasts in coordination with Sales and Operations
- Ensure delivery capability in case of limited availability
- Consider the impact of purchasing conditions on project margins
- Maintain high transparency for orders and delivery dates
