About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serving as the primary finance partner for NPI programs, owning product cost models, cost targets, and financial risk assessments
- Leading cost reviews throughout the product lifecycle and ensuring alignment with engineering, supply chain, and operations
- Evaluating design alternatives, manufacturing strategies, and sourcing decisions to optimize cost, quality, and schedule
- Managing cross‑functional cost initiatives and coordinating with program managers to integrate financial insights into project schedules and executive reviews
- Identifying risks and opportunities early, proposing mitigation strategies, and influencing program direction
- Developing and maintaining detailed cost models, including BOM analysis, labor and overhead modeling, and scenario planning
- Performing variance analysis across material, labor, and manufacturing costs, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions
- Monitoring cost performance against targets and forecasting impacts to product margins and financial plans
- Partnering with engineering, supply chain, and operations to evaluate design‑for‑cost opportunities and validate sourcing and manufacturing strategies
- Leading FP&A activities including forecasts, budgets, and performance reviews, while managing investment portfolios for new product development
- Preparing senior‑leadership‑level presentations on cost performance, investments, and financial risks
- Conducting productivity and efficiency analyses to identify long‑term structural cost improvements
- Presenting complex financial analyses with compelling executive storytelling to influence strategic decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
- 6 - 8+ years of experience in product cost management, FP&A, manufacturing finance, or engineering finance
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and manage complex projects
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data visualization tools
- Strong proficiency to communicate in English
