About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with Engineers to implement and document electrical changes to the product
  • Create detailed 2D electrical harness schematics using CREO SCHEMATICS application tool with accurate wire routing, connector specifications, and component placement
  • Develop wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, cable schedules, and single line diagrams for electrical systems in refrigerated transport applications
  • Review electrical drawings for accuracy and adherence to drafting standards while ensuring compliance with industry requirements and safety regulations
  • Monitor design workflow for electrical documentation release into PLM system (Windchill) for configuration and change management
  • Support project assignments by creating preliminary electrical concept drawings for RFI and RFQ proposals
  • Apply proper wire sizing, circuit protection requirements, and grounding specifications in accordance with automotive electrical standards
  • Collaborate with production engineers to ensure electrical designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficient in electrical model creation utilizing CREO SCHEMATICS or equivalent
  • 3 to 5+ years of electrical schematics generation and technical writing
  • Familiarity with PLM systems for storage/retrieval of CAD files (Windchill preferably)
  • Electrical Technical Course (Level 5 – CET/CTESP or over) or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (Nice to have)
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling software (CREO preferably) (Nice to have)
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including participation in sprint reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups (Nice to have)
  • Exposure to Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Testability (DFT) and DFMEA practices and tools (Nice to have)
