Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research, develop, and design computational algorithms to design and operate highly integrated energy systems to achieve optimal energy efficiency.
  • Develop automated computational workflows based on open-source packages notably in Python.
  • Deploy workflows to Carrier design teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied mathematics, Chemical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any engineering field.
  • Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Theoretical foundations and practical experience with optimization algorithms, including discrete optimization and non-linear programming.
  • Familiarity with thermodynamics and HVAC systems.
  • Coding skills in Pyomo, Python and Jupyter.
