About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research, develop, and design computational algorithms to design and operate highly integrated energy systems to achieve optimal energy efficiency.
- Develop automated computational workflows based on open-source packages notably in Python.
- Deploy workflows to Carrier design teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied mathematics, Chemical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any engineering field.
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Theoretical foundations and practical experience with optimization algorithms, including discrete optimization and non-linear programming.
- Familiarity with thermodynamics and HVAC systems.
- Coding skills in Pyomo, Python and Jupyter.
