About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a customer base, customer relationships and business performance within assigned territory
- Act as a primary contact to identify prospective for distribution and channel management teams
- Conduct business development activities within defined customer segment to support the business strategy
- Proactively support and develop prospective projects with assigned customers
- Develop personal customer relationships with prospective and existing accounts
- Develop customer presentations for specific customer needs
- Responsible for calling on established accounts and developing new accounts
- Work with accounts to implement sales and marketing programs
- Conduct analysis of sales and market data to develop and implement strategies
- Grow sales volume and market share within assigned territory
- Responsible for forecasting distributor programs, budgets, and sales volumes
- Engage with external channel partners and collaborate with internal teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in sales and/or operations management
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office Suite experience (excel, word, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel domestically 60% of the time
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or related field (preferred)
- Experience in the HVAC or construction industry or any industrial environment (preferred)
- Proven success in a Sales role (preferred)
- Experience with SAP and/or Sales Force (preferred)
- Thorough understanding of HVAC marketplace dynamics (preferred)
