About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct market analysis and identify key customer targets.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets in assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain owner relationships with retail partners that operate in more than one State or major market in the case of Canada and Mexico.
- Influence design standards and projects for direct and indirect sales opportunities.
- Use procurement contracts and other sales tools to increase equipment, service, and controls sales.
- Oversee Retail sales activities and resources within sales channels.
- Collaborate with local Carrier Commercial Sales, Service, and Controls teams on sales strategies that improve Carrier’s overall competitive position.
- Track project activity keeping internal team members and external customers informed.
- Update Salesforce with customer contact information and unique requirements including but not limited to, product configurations, and prototypes where applicable.
- Provide technical and product training to key customers.
- Communicate and cooperate across business functions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry.
- 3+ years of sales experience.
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing (Preferred).
- Public sector sales experience (Preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with both external customers and across functional teams.
- Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, and sense of ownership.
- Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to prioritize.
- Strategic planning and negotiating skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
