About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the end‑to‑end technical design of data solutions across AWS and GCP, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Design scalable architectures for data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption, including batch and streaming use cases.
- Review and approve technical designs and solution approaches proposed by the engineering team.
- Lead the technical delivery of data products, ensuring they are well‑modeled, consumption‑ready, governed, documented, and reliable.
- Act as the primary technical mentor for data engineers and senior engineers.
- Work closely with platform architects, DevOps, and cloud operations teams to ensure solutions align with platform capabilities and guardrails.
- Ensure data solutions meet non‑functional requirements including performance and scalability, security and access control, reliability and recoverability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data platform roles
- Proven experience architecting and delivering data solutions on AWS and GCP
- Strong hands‑on experience building production‑grade data pipelines and data products
- Deep understanding of: Data modeling and analytics patterns, Batch and streaming architectures, Cloud‑native design principles
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL) and experience with modern data frameworks
- Ability to make sound architectural decisions under real‑world constraints.
