About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the end‑to‑end technical design of data solutions across AWS and GCP, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Design scalable architectures for data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption, including batch and streaming use cases.
Review and approve technical designs and solution approaches proposed by the engineering team.
Lead the technical delivery of data products, ensuring they are well‑modeled, consumption‑ready, governed, documented, and reliable.
Act as the primary technical mentor for data engineers and senior engineers.
Work closely with platform architects, DevOps, and cloud operations teams to ensure solutions align with platform capabilities and guardrails.
Ensure data solutions meet non‑functional requirements including performance and scalability, security and access control, reliability and recoverability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

What you’ll need

6 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data platform roles
Proven experience architecting and delivering data solutions on AWS and GCP
Strong hands‑on experience building production‑grade data pipelines and data products
Deep understanding of: Data modeling and analytics patterns, Batch and streaming architectures, Cloud‑native design principles
Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL) and experience with modern data frameworks
Ability to make sound architectural decisions under real‑world constraints.
