About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the development and integration of the Battery Management System (BMS) for battery systems
- Development and design of BMS hardware and software
- Conceptualization and definition of BMS functions such as cell monitoring, balancing, protection functions and state estimation
- Creation of system and component requirements for the BMS in the context of the overall system
- Integration of the BMS into the battery system and coordination with adjacent components
- Definition of safety concepts
- Close collaboration and technical coordination of development teams
- Analysis and resolution of faults during development and validation
- Support for commissioning, debugging and transfer to series production
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics) or comparable qualification
- Experience in the development of BMS or embedded systems (hardware and/or software)
- Good knowledge of analog and digital circuit design as well as embedded software development (e.g., C/C++)
- Understanding of battery systems, cell chemistries and their requirements for the BMS
- Experience with communication interfaces (e.g., CAN, UART, SPI, I2C)
- Ideally, knowledge of functional safety or safety-critical systems
- Structured and analytical working style and a high degree of personal responsibility
- Team player with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
