About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsibility for the electronic system architecture within the battery system
Definition and management of requirements for electronic components and derivation to subsystems (e.g., control units, sensors) and coordination with embedded software (e.g., interfaces and timing)
Interface role to hardware development and technical coordination of developer teams for hardware, software, and testing
Design and evaluation of hardware concepts with respect to system requirements, performance, robustness, and scalability
Ensuring technical consistency and interoperability of all electronic subsystems and the embedded software
Support of the verification and validation strategy in close coordination with the testing teams
Analysis of system behavior, fault patterns, and interactions between electronic components

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics) or comparable qualification
Experience in system engineering of electronic systems and in defining electronic system architectures, ideally in the area of battery systems
Very good understanding of electronic hardware (e.g., circuit design, power electronics, control units)
Basic understanding of microcontrollers and embedded software (e.g., resources, peripherals, timing) as well as communication interfaces (e.g., CAN, Ethernet)
Structured and analytical working style with strong system understanding
Experience in the technical coordination of interdisciplinary teams and strong communication skills
Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
