About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsibility for the electronic system architecture within the battery system
- Definition and management of requirements for electronic components and derivation to subsystems (e.g., control units, sensors) and coordination with embedded software (e.g., interfaces and timing)
- Interface role to hardware development and technical coordination of developer teams for hardware, software, and testing
- Design and evaluation of hardware concepts with respect to system requirements, performance, robustness, and scalability
- Ensuring technical consistency and interoperability of all electronic subsystems and the embedded software
- Support of the verification and validation strategy in close coordination with the testing teams
- Analysis of system behavior, fault patterns, and interactions between electronic components
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics) or comparable qualification
- Experience in system engineering of electronic systems and in defining electronic system architectures, ideally in the area of battery systems
- Very good understanding of electronic hardware (e.g., circuit design, power electronics, control units)
- Basic understanding of microcontrollers and embedded software (e.g., resources, peripherals, timing) as well as communication interfaces (e.g., CAN, Ethernet)
- Structured and analytical working style with strong system understanding
- Experience in the technical coordination of interdisciplinary teams and strong communication skills
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
