About the role

  • Review specification and control schematics
  • Solicit pricing from subcontractors and equipment suppliers and follow up to obtain written quotes
  • Create detailed scope letters and proposals
  • Provide clear documentation on estimates and proposals
  • Provide accurate estimates and proposals
  • Partner closely with our operations and engineering teams to provide the best solutions and pricing
  • Assist with the selection of contractors
  • Qualify opportunities and assist to develop bid strategy

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of Sales, Building Automation, HVAC, and/or Controls experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, or related discipline (preferred)
  • 3+ years of Sales, Building Automation, HVAC, and/or Controls experience (preferred)
  • Ability to value engineer control designs with alternative solutions
  • Experience with sales tools and software, such as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and estimating software
  • Ability to solve moderate to challenging financial and accounting-related issues
  • Strong skills in written and oral communication, analysis, organization and time management
  • Capable of building strong relationships with customers and coworkers
  • Self-motivated and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Capability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Knowledge of how to present ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers.
