About the role
- Provide accurate estimates to minimize risk while maintaining low cost
- Track quantity and dollar volume of estimates
- Meet project deadlines
- Assist sales team with estimates, walk-throughs and field surveys
- Create a scope letter for each project
- Review specification and control schematics
- Provide clear documentation on estimates and proposals
- Provide backup support for quotes and deviations from specifications
- Assist sales team in bid process
- Respond and communicate to interdepartmental requests in a timely manner
- Utilize applicable sales tools effectively (CRM, estimating software, etc.)
- Collaborate with internal staff to deliver quality results
- Train to develop sales skills
- Selling strategy
- Time Management.
Requirements
- Associate's degree with 1+ Years of Experience in the Building Automation Industry OR a Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Driver’s License
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, Accounting preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Sales, Building Automation, HVAC, and/or Controls preferred
- Capable of building strong relationships with customers and coworkers
- Detailed-oriented, self-motivated, and works to continuously improve
- Strong skills in written and oral communication, analysis, organization and time management
- Ability to basic financial and accounting-related issues
- Experience with sales tools and software, such as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and estimating software
- Capability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Knowledge of how to present ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers.
