Junior Technical Support – Coordination Specialist
Carrier Commercial RefrigerationJunior Technical Support Specialist supporting CO₂ refrigeration systems installation and troubleshooting. Working collaboratively with experienced specialists and project managers to enhance technical knowledge.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist customers and contractors with the installation and startup of CO₂ condensing units under the guidance of senior technical staff.
- Support remote and on-site troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms, escalating more complex issues when necessary.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining technical documentation, installation guides, and troubleshooting resources.
- Participate in product training to build technical knowledge of CO₂ refrigeration systems.
- Support the coordination of installation schedules, project timelines, and customer deliverables.
- Track project progress and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Communicate project updates with internal teams, contractors, and customers.
- Assist senior managers with project planning and administrative tasks to help ensure successful project completion.
- Gather customer feedback and identify recurring technical issues for review by senior team members.
- Stay up to date on CO₂ refrigeration products, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Contribute ideas to improve technical support processes and customer documentation.
- Participate in ongoing technical and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–3 years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, or technical support roles (including apprenticeships, internships, or co-op experience).
- Basic understanding of refrigeration or HVAC systems; willingness to learn CO₂ refrigeration technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software systems.
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50–60% of the time, approximately 25 – 35 weeks per year).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.
- HVAC/Refrigeration education, trade certification, or related technical diploma preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial refrigeration equipment or natural refrigerants preferred.
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration safety practices and industry standards preferred.
- Experience providing customer service or technical support preferred.
