About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot and root cause machine downtime.
- Report issues and create work assignments for the staff.
- Review assigned job orders daily and determine work priorities.
- Make necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment and completes all assigned maintenance tasks on time and in accordance with company standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks in accordance to schedule and standard.
- Make major and minor repairs and schedule equipment for repair.
- Work with Supervisors to ensure utilization of equipment and rotation schedules.
- Inspect equipment daily or as needed for conformance with operational and safety standards.
- Submit requisitions for tools, equipment, parts, and supplies required to maintain equipment operations.
- Oversee workers and perform human resource and administrative duties, such as hiring, training, and promoting.
- Motivating employees, resolving disputes, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Create periodic reports, work schedules, employee payroll processing, and budget planning.
- Maintain inventory, such as cleaning supplies, tools, and office supplies.
- Inspect the building to identify maintenance issues, such as clogged drains, leaky ceilings, and faulty electrical switches.
- Other duties as assigned or necessary.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred; or six years related work experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience maintaining conveyance, industrial trucks, automation, and other industrial machinery.
- Basic reading, writing, and math.
- Schematic/Blueprint reading a plus.
- OSHA certified in equipment operation.
- Ability to be on call as needed.
