About the role
- Produce interlinear gloss for Diné/Navajo sentences
- Interact with other native language speakers to compare challenges in morpheme segmentation and interlinear gloss creation
- Engage/consult with linguists as needed for guidance on linguistic analysis and methodology
- Assist with the final stages of a research paper, including editing, formatting, and content refinement
- Maintain regular communication with faculty, staff, and students regarding project progress
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Familiarity with or expertise in the Diné/Navajo language is highly desirable
- A strong interest in linguistics, language technologies, or computational linguistics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage variable weekly hours
- A combination of education and meaningful experience from which comparable knowledge is proven may be considered
- Successful background check investigation
