Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and direct the daily operation of assigned Imaging areas and staff
Foster collaboration among clinical departments and affiliated services
Resolve customer complaints and operational problems
Collaborate with physicians and staff on technical procedures, techniques, and equipment
Conduct interviewing, disciplinary actions, payroll reporting, paid-leave scheduling, and enforcement of rules and regulations
Monitor employee performance and manage communications for goal setting, evaluations, wage increases, and personnel actions
Ensure employee orientation, training, annual competencies, certifications, licensure, and education requirements are current
Ensure personnel are trained and competent in equipment use
Develop budget recommendations and monitor budget activities
Manage X-ray, CT, and MRI professionals
Oversee operational budgets and capital equipment purchases for X-ray, CT, and MRI
Develop best practices with radiologist and interdisciplinary assistance
Monitor quality and dose-reduction initiatives in X-ray and CT

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate of Completion in a related field
Related field work experience
One or more listed imaging credentials, including Illinois licensed radiologic technologist, ARRT Registered in Radiography, CNMT, RDMS, RDCS, or RVT certifications
Current certifications, licensure, competencies, and education requirements must be maintained
Ability to manage X-ray, CT, and MRI professionals and operations
Knowledge of imaging equipment, technical procedures, and techniques
Ability to oversee operational budgets and capital equipment purchases
Ability to monitor quality and dose-reduction initiatives in X-ray and CT
Ability to conduct personnel management, scheduling, payroll reporting, interviewing, and disciplinary actions
