About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy integrated with the patient's medical goals.
Identify and provide age specific nutrition counseling to meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families.
Evaluate, interpret, monitor and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients using established standards of care and practice guidelines.
Develop, review, update and implement educational materials to meet the needs of patients and professionals.
Participate in the scheduled test tray program.
Provide learning experience for dietetic interns as outlined in their program.
Assist with in-service training for diet office personnel and staff.
Assist in the development of patient education materials.
Provide continual monitoring of patients on assigned nursing units to ensure quality of nutrition care services.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Registered Dietitian (RD) - Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Bachelor's Degree: Related Field (Required)
