About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assists the pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients
Performs sterile and non-sterile compounding
Filling, referral coordination, communicating with patients and their families, labeling and delivery
Cleaning of pharmacy area, inventory management, processing and filling prescriptions and supplies
Accurately prepares and submits purchase orders and requisitions for drugs and supplies
Answers the telephone, takes messages, and directs calls
Assists in the coordination and completion of the annual inventory

Licensed Pharmacy Technician within 60 days of license application - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Certified Pharmacy Technician Not Required - Student Pharmacist or Licensed before 1/1/2008 - Exempt/Not Required
Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years of license issue date (IL) - Varies
