About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist the pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical care to all patients of Carle Foundation Hospital, Kirby and Hoopeston Hospitals, and all Carle Enterprise locations that might use medications
Accurately and safely prepare and label chemotherapy drugs for administration
Fill medication orders in an accurate and timely manner, including new or lost doses, floor stock replacement items, unit dose cart, outpatient and take-home prescriptions
Perform miscellaneous billing functions, including patient charging and crediting, nursing unit charges, and controlled substance charging
Prepare IV products using aseptic technique and applying proper labeling

Requirements

What you’ll need

Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years of license issue date (IL)
Licensed Pharmacy Technician within 60 days of license application - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Certified Pharmacy Technician Not Required - Student Pharmacist or Licensed before 1/1/2008 - Exempt/Not Required
