About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide routine rehabilitation activities to aid in the delivery of patient care
Responsible for transferring and transporting of therapy patients
Communicates with patients, team members and other professionals for the purpose of sharing information that will assist in achieving optimum care for the patient
Establishes effective rapport with patients of all ages
Administers direct patient care related activities and assists a licensed physical, occupational or speech therapist following demonstration of competency in each area
Assists licensed therapists in providing group therapy services in physical PT, OT and/or Speech
Communicates potential patient problems or observations of change in patient behavior to the attending therapist
Performs daily sanitation of gym areas and cleans equipment, tables, mats and other areas of patient contact
Promotes patient safety by reporting issues through established channels and participates in safety initiatives as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
6 months of Healthcare experience
