About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame
- Provides care to patients via the nursing process
- Performs all responsibilities required by the unit as specific to the scope of service
- Implements procedures and maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care
- Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care
- Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation
- Monitors fetal well being and administers medication specific to the obstetric patient
Requirements
What you’ll need- RN>1yr 3yr Commitment external applicants only
- Experienced L&D RN or Nursery RN >2yrs
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 1 year - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Education: Nursing; College Diploma: Nursing
