About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame
  • Provides care to patients via the nursing process
  • Performs all responsibilities required by the unit as specific to the scope of service
  • Implements procedures and maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care
  • Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care
  • Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation
  • Monitors fetal well being and administers medication specific to the obstetric patient

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • RN>1yr 3yr Commitment external applicants only
  • Experienced L&D RN or Nursery RN >2yrs
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 1 year - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Education: Nursing; College Diploma: Nursing
