Key responsibilities & impact

Assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame
Provides care to patients via the nursing process
Performs all responsibilities required by the unit as specific to the scope of service
Implements procedures and maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care
Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care
Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation
Monitors fetal well being and administers medication specific to the obstetric patient

Requirements

What you’ll need

RN>1yr 3yr Commitment external applicants only
Experienced L&D RN or Nursery RN >2yrs
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 1 year - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
Education: Nursing; College Diploma: Nursing
