About the role
- Planning and administering physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients.
- Serving as a role model in delivery of professional services and as a clinical resource for staff and students.
- Demonstrating ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed.
- Designing an appropriate plan of care that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
- Educating patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
- Evaluating clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care.
- Communicating with medical team and maintaining documentation according to department and practice standards.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Bachelor's Degree: Physical Therapy (Required)
- Outpatient orthopedic experience
