💰 $35 - $60 per hour
About the role
- Administers occupational therapy treatment to patients according to the prescription of the physician
- Screens or reviews potential patient cases to determine the need for evaluation and treatment
- Evaluates patients/clients as ordered by the physician, obtaining and interpreting data necessary for treatment
- Reassess and updates treatment plans and goals with revision as needed
- Prepares home programs to educate family and/or increase patient performance
- Repairs and fabricates equipment such as simple mechanical adjustments to adaptive devices
- Completes objective testing for range of motion, strength, and performance of daily tasks
- Completes therapeutic modalities, as appropriate, including ultrasound, iontophoresis, and electrical stimulation
- Communicates with referring provider on patient progress and treatment recommendations
- Provides supervision to COTA, in accordance with regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Bachelor's Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required)
