About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and manage executive-level relationships within strategic accounts
  • Develop, execute, and maintain enterprise-level account strategies across surgical workflows, pathology operations, and oncology care delivery
  • Identify opportunities to integrate Caris molecular profiling and precision oncology solutions into clinical pathways and system-wide protocols
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews focused on performance, utilization trends, outcomes, and growth initiatives
  • Analyze account- and regional-level data to identify growth opportunities, adoption barriers, and productivity gaps
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Regional Business Directors and align enterprise priorities with regional execution
  • Provide indirect leadership, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to field roles
  • Own strategic initiatives including account onboarding, precision medicine program launches, pathology initiatives, workflow optimization, EMR integrations, and service improvements
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across Operations, Client Services, Laboratory, Medical Affairs, IT, and Marketing
  • Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and success metrics; track progress using CRM and project management tools
  • Support complex deal strategy, value positioning, and account expansion
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for strategic accounts
  • Represent Caris Life Sciences at senior customer leadership levels as a long-term precision medicine partner

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in strategic account management, oncology diagnostics, precision medicine, or complex healthcare sales
  • Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics, next-generation sequencing (NGS), oncology workflows, and pathology/laboratory operations
  • Demonstrated success driving growth within complex, matrixed healthcare environments
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and lead cross-functional and field teams
  • Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment processes, including background check, drug screening, and reference check
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working remotely or on-site with customers
  • Ability to travel by air and automobile for customer meetings and regional responsibilities
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Significant regional travel required, approximately more than 50%
  • Evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required based on customer needs and business priorities
  • After-hours responsiveness may be required for critical customer or enterprise issues
  • Criminal background check, drug screening, applicable credit check, and reference verification required
  • Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree
  • Preferred: Formal project management training or PMP certification
  • Preferred: Experience supporting enterprise or health-system-level partnerships
  • Preferred: Established relationships within academic medical centers or large integrated delivery networks
