The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for a wide range of functions to support the Human Resources Department.
Provide proactive HR support to employees, leaders and HR team members related to employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compliance, employee communication, rewards and recognition, compensation management and retention.
Act as liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.
Conduct new employee orientations to ensure understanding of onboarding tasks, payroll timing, benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
Counsel employees/applicants on plan provisions to support benefit selection.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to employees and leadership (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action).
Respond to employee relations issues such as complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints; document and work towards resolution.
Partner on employee relations discussions, exit interviews, and performance recognition.
Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for new requests and exploring improvements.
Support employee engagement initiatives (Employee Activity Committee, InComm Rewards, Above and Beyond Recognition).
Maintain and electronically file employee records (new hires, transfers, terminations).
Partner with leadership to manage, track and support disciplinary write ups.
Aid in monitoring annual performance review cycle and train teams on related processes.
May assist Leave Administrator with administration of leaves of absence (personal, medical, FMLA, military).
Conduct recurring meetings with leadership and employees to improve relations, morale, productivity and retention.
Assist HR team with coaching on employee issues (performance, development, terminations).
Communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
Work with hiring leaders to develop job descriptions and open requisitions.
Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
Support Trip Reduction Program, carpool parking and partner with Security on parking concerns.
Create reports, track and analyze employment data, and recommend program revisions.
Assist employees with requests and questions; act as employee champion to promote productive environment.
