About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Performs core job responsibilities related to referrals, such as: scheduling, referral authorization and/or medical record maintenance.
Accountable for accurate and efficient coordination of care related to screening, diagnostic, or therapeutic testing, and consultative and therapeutic referral scheduling.
Ensures all referral requests are scheduled timely and in accordance with established procedures.
Communicates with management, clinical staff, and other internal and external customers.
Provides the highest level of customer service to patients, visitors, clinical staff and fellow employees.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate degree or equivalent combination of education or equivalent 4 years of experience required.
Experience in Healthcare practice setting preferred.
Virginia MLTSS (UAI) Certification required to complete orientation and must be maintained throughout employment.
Advanced computer skills with knowledge of a variety of software programs, including Microsoft word, Excel, Access, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation or database software.
Excellent communications and organizational skills required.
