About the role

  • This is a hybrid position with a few days in the office needed each week.
  • Supports Carilion Clinic's mission by creating compelling, accurate and engaging multimedia content.
  • Producing content across video, audio, photography, and digital platforms.
  • Conduct interviews with patients, physicians, researchers, executives, caregivers, and community partners.
  • Film events highlighting new buildings, programs or services.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, marketing strategists, communications, social media and content developers.
  • Support media relations and reputation management efforts.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, monitoring content, workflow, and timelines.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
  • Completion of a master’s degree in a related field, combined with relevant experience, may be used in lieu of the experience requirement.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Requires strong analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
