About the role
- Serve as the primary administrator for our financial systems, including Netsuite, UKG and Avalara. Manage day-to-day operations, while providing high-level hands-on support for users.
- Act as the product owner for the financial tech stack, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains through gap analysis, process mapping, and system enhancements.
- Lead the hands-on customization of NetSuite and UKG. Gather complex requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications, custom workflows, and SuiteScripts.
- Ensure application reliability and performance during critical periods. This includes overseeing data accuracy for month-end and year-end close and building sophisticated, customized financial reports.
- Troubleshoot system errors, data issues, and workflow problems to ensure minimal disruption to financial operations.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with third-party vendors and external consultants for more complex issues and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed technical solutions, recommend suitable architecture, implement solutions that support new business initiatives and oversee the appropriate change management requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience as an administrator or business systems analyst with Netsuite (required) and other financial systems tools (UKG and Avalara experience preferred).
- Deep expertise in NetSuite configuration and administration. Hands-on NetSuite coding experience (SuiteScript 2.0/2.1) is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience architecting integrations between NetSuite and peripheral systems (HRIS, tax engines, and banking APIs).
- Solution-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a high sense of quality and attention to detail.
- Experience architecting solutions and being hands-on when needed to develop and troubleshoot code.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and IT General Controls (ITGC).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
