About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities related to industrial automation on machines, equipment, control panels, PLCs and communication networks
  • Design the corresponding automation and communication network projects to prevent unplanned factory downtime
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on automation systems, identifying hardware and software faults and obsolescence
  • Record activities in work orders
  • Monitor, together with the Process Engineering and Production departments, the performance of control loops
  • Perform corrective maintenance on automation systems
  • Keep hardware, remote units and PLC panels clean, organized and in proper operating condition

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma
  • Technical qualification in Automation or related fields
  • Certification in Electrical Installations and Services Safety – NR10
  • Previous experience in the role
  • Availability for occasional travel
  • Knowledge/Experience with: variable frequency drives (VFDs), Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, ControlNet, Ethernet, Profibus networks, FTView and FTView ME supervisory systems, and computer skills (MS Office)
