About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and build strong relationships with prospective customers in the equine sector
  • Maintain, develop and diversify relationships with target equine customers
  • Serve as a technical resource for customers, retailers and internal stakeholders
  • Conduct market and pricing research, as well as sales and merchandising/promotion activities
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends
  • Support business growth by collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Independently resolve moderately complex problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science, animal nutrition, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Certified Agronomist designation (agr.) required and in good standing in Quebec
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to travel for work across Quebec up to 80% of the time
  • Hold a valid Canadian driver’s license (full class), in good standing
  • Legally authorized to work for Cargill in Canada
  • More than 5 years of experience in equine nutrition, technical sales, agronomy, or related fields (PREFERRED)
  • Master’s degree in animal nutrition, veterinary sciences, or a related discipline (PREFERRED)
  • Experience combining technical expertise and consultative sales (PREFERRED)
  • Comfortable presenting, training, and coaching both customers and internal teams (PREFERRED)
