About the role
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in three North America plants, optimizing the performance of existing assets
- Collaborate with manufacturing excellence teams and other functions to drive efficient and safe performance
- Drive process capabilities, hazard analysis, process safety management, performance monitoring, technical training and process improvements
- Support the training and development for the specific manufacturing technology in the region
- Provide leadership for implementation of improvement projects, plans, techniques, tools and quality standards across sites
- Coordinate and lead creation of related policies for plants in alignment with manufacturing technology governance
- Support the application of work processes as designed within the specific manufacturing technology domain
- Provide manufacturing technology expertise to plants and partner with local teams to identify and resolve root causes to emerging issues
- Act as a resource for plants on current safety standards and lead deployment of risk management practices and safeguards
- Identify opportunities and gaps in required manufacturing technology knowledge and provide coaching to talent
- Provide expert thought leadership and may provide direction to supporting team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with oil seed extraction
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience leading remote teams
- Demonstrated ability to execute work through others using influential leadership
- Fundamental understanding of industry leading practices in process safety management
- Experience working in engineering, technical operations, project management or process safety management
- Must be US-based; visa sponsorship will not be provided
