About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Initiate and grow relationships with growers, providing the channel to accumulate grain, and act as the conduit for all Cargill activities with growers within your region
- Help identify, develop and close opportunities with an increasing focus on sustainability
- Attend and participate in events that provide opportunities to develop relationships with growers and other industry members
- Create demand for Cargill products and services by raising their profile with customers
- Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of customers businesses and needs
- Create customer opportunities and satisfy customers through sound account management to achieve sustainable business growth
- Manage customer relationships as the foundation for the origination of grain and oilseeds
Requirements
What you’ll need- Tertiary education or equivalent experience
- 3 years’ experience in the grain industry or agricultural sales and marketing positions
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and requiring minimal supervision/guidance/structure
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to develop long term relationships
- Ethical business conduct
