About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Initiate and grow relationships with growers, providing the channel to accumulate grain, and act as the conduit for all Cargill activities with growers within your region
  • Help identify, develop and close opportunities with an increasing focus on sustainability
  • Attend and participate in events that provide opportunities to develop relationships with growers and other industry members
  • Create demand for Cargill products and services by raising their profile with customers
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of customers businesses and needs
  • Create customer opportunities and satisfy customers through sound account management to achieve sustainable business growth
  • Manage customer relationships as the foundation for the origination of grain and oilseeds

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary education or equivalent experience
  • 3 years’ experience in the grain industry or agricultural sales and marketing positions
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and requiring minimal supervision/guidance/structure
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to develop long term relationships
  • Ethical business conduct
