About the role
- Assist with routine laboratory activities such as cleaning and organizing the work area and used materials;
- Organize samples and file retained (backup) samples;
- Organize records and documents;
- Support the procurement process for laboratory supplies following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP);
- Control laboratory materials and consumables;
- Carry out scheduled purchases for all materials used by the department;
- Assist leadership in cost monitoring;
- Register new items in the system and perform the respective follow-ups;
- Perform organization, cleaning, and sanitization of the laboratory, equipment, and materials;
- Send samples to internal and external laboratories;
- Store retained (backup) samples;
- Issue reports of approved products for each client;
- Perform monthly inventory of laboratory chemicals and issue consumption reports to the relevant authority;
- Other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma (completed);
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office);
- Currently studying for a Technical degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Technology Technologist, Chemistry Technologist or a related field is considered an advantage;
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is considered an advantage.
