About the role
- Promote awareness of food and product safety across the plant by developing plant personnel competencies and supporting training on HACCP and risk analyses
- Assist in defining and updating specific quality procedures, work instructions, and tools directly related to food and product safety
- Perform daily inspections at critical control points and monitoring zones, ensuring adherence to written programs
- Support internal and external audits, including closure of nonconformities and proactive identification of risk areas
- Independently resolve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating only critical matters
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, external audits, and effective implementation of the HACCP plan
- Organize quality and food safety functions, deliver training and coaching to develop talent and strengthen the team
Requirements
- Experience in food safety
- Experience with HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Experience with audits and regulatory agencies
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Active professional registration to support laboratory activities (CRQ, CRBio, CREA)
- Previous experience or degree in animal nutrition
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with data analysis
- Belt certification (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma)
- Advanced English and Spanish
